DESCRIPTION: Ginjo.
Made by Daimon Shuzo, Osaka Prefecture. Aromas of yellow grapefruit skin and a hint of ripe strawberry. On the palate, the flavors head toward apricot, tangy kiwi, and a touch of grapefruit rind. This light-medium bodied sake presents a unique combination of a dry, crisp sake that also has amazing complexity of flavor and umami-like persistence on the finish. Great balance too. Tozai represents a unique collaboration between the sixth-generation Japanese sake brewery Daimon Shuzo, the prominent Kyoto-based American artist Daniel Kelly (who designed the front label), and America's leading
importer of chilled, premium, artisanal Japanese sake, Vine Connections. Tozai means "East-West" in Japanese and evokes the spirit of the alliance that created this special sake.
